Schedule/Hours:

• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week (option for 48 upon request)
• 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation

Qualifications:

• Active IL RN license (must be current)
• AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience; 3 years preferred
• At least 1 completed travel assignment
• Strong neuro assessment, NIHSS, dysphagia screening, Tele/EKG interpretation (exam on first day), and critical care skillset
• Experience with ETT/vent management, medication titration (sedatives, cardiac drips, etc.), sepsis protocols, and post-ROSC hypothermia protocol
• Flexible, social, resilient, and thrives on change; excellent assessment and critical thinking skills
• Preferred: tPa administration/assessments, massive transfusion experience

Responsibilities:

• Care for patients in an 18-bed unit providing both ICU and step-down care (ratios: ICU 2:1, Stepdown 3:1)
• Float to step-down as needed
• Work collaboratively with an established, supportive team—charge nurses also take assignments
• Maintain compliance with high patient safety and quality of care standards
