Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities:

• Lead and direct the maintenance team by establishing floor priorities, setting clear expectations, ensuring accountability, and facilitating internal training initiatives.

• Develop and maintain skill and training matrices to support workforce development.

• Track and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) to team members regularly throughout the year.

• Design and implement maintenance programs with a strong focus on planning, scheduling, and preventive/predictive maintenance aligned with strategic objectives.

• Maintain and improve maintenance procedures, databases, and systems to enhance process efficiency.

• Manage the maintenance department budget, monitor expenditures, and ensure operations remain cost-effective.

• Conduct routine facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations.

• Oversee equipment-related projects, coordinate with contractors, manage spare parts inventory, and ensure timely execution of maintenance activities.

• Monitor the reliability and performance of plant equipment and systems, reduce unplanned downtime, and identify continuous improvement opportunities in line with health, safety, and environmental requirements.

• Troubleshoot machinery, materials, molds, and processes as needed.

• Collaborate with engineering to create and maintain accurate technical equipment specifications.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum of 7 years in a relevant technical role (engineering or maintenance), with at least 5 years leading maintenance teams in a large-scale manufacturing environment.

• Strong leadership capabilities, including experience managing and developing teams, coaching, training, and performance planning.

• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed maintenance KPIs and apply data-driven decision-making.

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and a continuous improvement mindset.

• Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and automation systems.

• Proven ability to develop and manage maintenance budgets effectively.

• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills with the flexibility to adapt to changing needs.
