Our focus on industry speciality means we have subject matter experts spanning all major sectors of the global economy, ensuring we have valuable insights to share on almost every subject making media headlines in North America. The PR Manager role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage those insights and to establish WTW as a leading commentator on a diverse range of topics for North American media.

The Role

  • Implement a media strategy in support of R&B NA business goals and priorities
  • Support implementation of global campaigns, thought leadership and other content relevant to NA
  • Ensure the R&B NA PR strategy aligns with global priorities, messaging and the WTW Story
  • Ensure compliance with global media guidelines and other relevant processes
  • Provide external communications counsel to R&B NA leadership and other key stakeholders
  • Act as 24/7 Press Office
  • Coordinate and collaborate closely with other support function colleagues as appropriate, in particular, ICCM and Marketing in NA
  • Provide external communication support for R&B NA M&A related activities
  • Measurement and reporting of R&B NA media coverage
  • Manage NA external vendors, including PR agencies and vendor RFPs where appropriate
  • Provide issues/ incident communications support when required
  • Social media monitoring and social media amplification of tier one media coverage
  • Line management responsibility for an External Communication coordinator


Qualifications

The Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience minimum, including within the (re) insurance sector
  • Solid expertise in media relations, including network of relevant media contacts
  • Strong track record of stakeholder engagement, including the media
  • Confidence to work with senior leadership
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills and ability to produce high quality and succinct communications materials for targeted audiences
  • Support crisis and issues management experience
  • Experience of managing external PR agencies, budgets and performance
  • Demonstrates ability to collaborate cross functionally and cross culturally
  • Social media experience
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills
  • Flexible worker with the ability to self-direct and regularly switch between strategic and tactical responsibilities
  • Synthesizes direction, navigates ambiguity and prioritizes actions from a variety of stakeholders
  • Works efficiently and effectively under pressure in an environment of continuous improvement
  • Diligent listening skills and succinct, focused written and verbal communication skills

Compensation And Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $100,000.00-$120,000.00 USD annually.

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
