MOST IMPORTANT SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with engineering, operations and equipment vendors for design and commissioning activities
- Conduct Equipment Safety Buyoffs with a cross-functional team
- Complete Risk Assessments in accordance with ISO 12100 and Client standards
- MUST HAVE ISO 13849 experience- actual field experience
* MUST HAVE INDUSTRIAL MACHINERY
- You will also be an active participant in equipment acceptance testing and commissioning as well as evaluating proposed changes to equipment and machinery for safety requirements.
- Work with engineering, operations and equipment vendors for design and commissioning activities
- Develop equipment safety standards where needed and continuously improve existing standards
- Complete Risk Assessments in accordance with ISO 12100 and Client standards
- Conduct Equipment Safety Buyoffs with a cross-functional team
- Identify safety opportunities and suggest corrective actions for continuous improvement
- Create and deliver training related to equipment and machinery safety
- Maintain detailed records of equipment complianceWork with department EHS staff to support as needed
- Participate in learning teams, investigations, inspections, audits, etc. as needed
- Demonstrated familiarity with mechanical, electrical, automation, and control system design
- Experience with ANSI, UL, NFPA, ISO and other applicable standards
- Experience interpreting electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic safety circuits and evaluating performance level & circuit structure
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical circuit design in accordance with NEC, UL 508a, and NFPA 79
- Certified Functional Safety Professional CFSP/CFSE
- Certified Machine Safety Expert
