This role involves working in a dynamic Neuro MedSurg Acute care setting, providing top-notch patient care and support. Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg - Travel

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with stroke, spine surgery, seizure, brain tumor, head injury, and other neuroscience-related conditions
• Titrate Heparin drips based on PTT levels; must have heparin gtt experience
• Coordinate with charge nurse and house supervisor to ensure optimal patient care
• Collaborate with nurse aids/patient care techs to maintain patient care ratios and duties
• Utilize RT equipment for stable COVID patients as required
• Engage in house-wide telemetry without the need to read strips
• Float to general units as needed, ensuring compliance with skills competencies

Requirements of the RN - Med Surg - Travel

• Active IL license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Level 1 trauma experience
• Previous travel experience (no first-time travelers)
• Prior experience working on a dedicated neuro unit
