Location: Jacksonville, Illinois, United States,

Responsibilities:

- Providing physical therapy treatment to geriatric and orthopedic patients.
- Performing patient assessments, including AROM/AAROM/PROM, arousal and attention, assistive device assessment, body mechanics evaluation, pain assessment, skin integrity checks, strength testing, and vital signs.
- Utilizing various equipment and devices such as crutches, gait belts, rolling walkers, and standard walkers.
- Demonstrating effective time management skills.
- Documenting patient care and progress.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
- May float to other areas within the scope of practice as needed.

Required Skills & Certifications:

- Minimum one year of experience as a PTA.
- Active PTA license in Illinois or in the application process with an expected completion date.
- Current BLS certification.
- Experience with geriatric and orthopedic patient populations.
- Proficiency in AROM/AAROM/PROM, arousal and attention assessment, assistive device assessment, body mechanics evaluation, pain assessment, skin integrity checks, strength testing, and vital signs.
- Skill in using crutches, gait belts, rolling walkers, and standard walkers.
- Effective time management skills.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- More than one year of experience as a PTA.

Scheduling:

- Monday-Friday.
- Shift options: five 8-hour days (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM) or a mix of four 9-hour days and one 4-hour day. Specific shift assignments will be determined.
