Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Middle School Special Education Teacher committed to delivering tailored educational support to a caseload of 14 students. The position is a full-time contract role from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, located in Rockford, IL, within a high school setting. The duration of this contract corresponds with the normal school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Deliver life skills instruction and support tailored to diverse learning requirements.
• Collaborate with staff, families, and specialists to promote student success and inclusion.
• Regularly monitor and document student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with an LBS1 certificate.
• Proven experience in writing and managing student IEPs.
• Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices.
• Ability to engage and support middle school students with various learning needs effectively.
