Analytics Assistant - Entry Level
We are seeking an Analytics Assistant to join our consulting team in a hybrid capacity, combining focused home office study with structured collaborative sessions. In this entry level role, you will assist our consultants in analyzing organizational data and drafting clear client documentation. Currently, we are supporting a global logistics firm headquartered in Chicago that is reorganizing its core operations and clarifying its internal accountability structures. You will help gather, organize, and analyze the operational data required to build an objective picture of their current performance. This is a paid position offering competitive pay for those starting their professional careers in business analysis. What you will do
- Gather and centralize quantitative and qualitative organizational data from various client sources.
- Build clean, structured spreadsheets to track metrics related to decision rights and operational friction.
- Review internal client documentation, such as organizational charts and process maps, to identify inconsistencies.
- Draft concise summaries of data findings and prepare initial drafts of evidence-backed reports.
- Support consultants during interviews with client leadership by taking precise, detailed notes.
- Verify the accuracy of numbers and facts in our final written deliverables before they go to clients.
- Maintain and organize our internal knowledge base, ensuring all project materials are easily accessible.
- A strong interest in how complex business systems operate and how organizational structures affect performance.
- The ability to write clearly and directly in English, avoiding unnecessary jargon or complex phrasing.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a habit of double-checking data for accuracy and consistency.
- Comfort working with spreadsheet software to organize and present data cleanly.
- A structured approach to solving problems, relying on facts rather than assumptions.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple small tasks without losing track of details.
