Ready to Build – Not Just Close?

Are you a high-performing Staff Accountant who wants to sit at the intersection of technology and accounting? This newly created position will help shape and scale our accounting infrastructure while owning core general ledger (GL) responsibilities in a growing company.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, this individual will focus on a blend of process design and workflow optimization while ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and scalable GAAP-compliant practices. This is ideal for someone who demonstrates strong individual ownership and values working collaboratively with accounting, engineering, product, and leadership teams.

What You’ll Do:

Shape our Future Financial System
Take a hands-on role in QT9’s transition from QuickBooks Online to a scalable, fully integrated financial environment built for growth. Partner with the Director of Finance and cross-functional teams to configure, test, and refine accounting functionality within our proprietary software – playing an active role in meaningful systems transformation.

Own Core Accounting Operations
After training and transition, lead the GL and month-end close process, including journal entries, prepaids, accruals, and reconciliations. Drive accuracy, timeliness, and strong internal controls while continuously identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reporting quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of related experience
• Experience in a SaaS or software-based company preferred
• Prior experience migrating accounting systems or implementing new accounting platforms strongly preferred
• Experience reviewing, auditing, or supporting newly implemented accounting software a plus
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams

Salary Description

$75,000 - $85,000
