Precision Machining Operator — Bearing Components Production

Step into a day at the Timken Aurora Bearing facility where precision and consistency drive every decision. You’ll arrive to a clean, organized cell, review your job traveler and prints, and begin preparing machines for production. With on-the-job training and clear growth opportunities, you’ll gain mastery across multiple processes as you help transform raw materials into high-quality bearing components.

What your day looks like

• Set up and operate a range of production equipment such as presses, laser marker, ink jet, electro etch, fit, ovens, swage, bore grinders, drill, mill, and roll thread equipment.
• Load parts, cycle equipment safely, and verify dimensions at designated intervals; make precise adjustments to keep parts on spec.
• Run first-piece parts as needed, tune parameters to hit quality targets, and complete set-up documentation to obtain approval.
• Inspect for fit, center, stake, stamp, and marking accuracy against print specifications using visual checks and gauges including micrometers and calipers.
• Maintain reliable machine operation, including monitoring and topping off fluid levels.

Training, pay, and schedule

• Training: On-the-job training with a clear path for growth.
• Compensation: Pay based on experience starting at $18.50–$20.50 per hour, plus an additional $1.50/hour for 2nd shift.
• Shifts: Day and afternoon opportunities. 1st shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm. 2nd shift: 3:30pm–12:00am.

What you bring

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Manufacturing and machine operation background preferred.
• Experience with gauges and micrometers preferred.
