Major Purpose

As a Product Manager focused on Customer Sales Leads and Fleet Recommendations , you will play a key role in shaping how John Deere identifies and engages with current and prospective customers. You’ll help build capabilities that integrate customer sales leads alongside whole good, precision technology, precision upgrades and SaaS recommendations along with crafting a customer fleet data product that enables our ability to understand what is likely in a customer’s equipment list. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Product Management, Dealer Channel, SaaS, Architecture, ISG Data Engineering, and ISG Data Science—to define and deliver scalable, production-ready data products. These insights will empower our dealers and internal teams to have more meaningful conversations with customers and enhance their digital experience with John Deere. You will be accountable for leveraging the shared insights, which will necessitate a thorough understanding of your customers' needs and the initial data pipeline, as well as establishing additional metrics for gauging product success.

Your Responsibilities

As a Product Manager, Customer Sales Leads and Fleet Recommendations for JD ISG you will:

  • Define and communicate a clear vision, strategy, and roadmap for customer sales leads, fleet identification and recommendations.
  • Lead product discovery and definition by collaborating with internal stakeholders and data providers to deeply understand needs and integration patterns.
  • Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to create production-class features that aggregate and synthesize data from multiple sources, often using predictive modeling.
  • Ensure data products are scalable and reusable by enabling multiple and uniform consumption patterns across digital applications, business intelligence and analytics tools, dealer systems, and marketing and advertising
  • Use your domain experience, technical knowledge, business judgement, with collaboration of your product team, to understand what is technically possible and strategically important to the business.
  • Translate customer and internal consumers and stakeholders needs (Dealers, Deere Digital Applications, Business Intelligence and more) into prioritized product requirements and maintain a well-groomed product backlog. . Ensure your products come alive through written and verbal communication to enable engineering teams to build them.
  • Develop and track success metrics to measure product impact and drive adoption across the organization and dealer network.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% in the mid-west for engineering, data science, and stakeholder engagements.

What Skills You Need

  • 5+ years of experience in product development, product management or engineering
  • 3+ years of experience building data-driven products involving data engineering and data science
  • Strong understanding of data pipelines, data lakes, databases, and modern data engineering practices
  • Familiarity with data consumption patterns such as API’s and SQL.
  • Knowledge of predictive modeling and AI capabilities
  • Proven ability to influence user experiences through data and insights
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with product discovery methodologies and defining measurable objectives and key results.
  • A passion for agriculture, construction and technology and its potential to enhance lives.

What Makes You Standout

  • Experience working with data related to John Deere customers, equipment, or outcomes in agriculture or construction.
  • Familiarity with Deere dealer sales, service, and integrated solution workflows
  • Broad exposure to third-party data, order fulfillment, warranty, financial and master data systems.
  • Experience delivering scalable data platforms that support multiple product teams
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data and analytics to identify opportunities and solve problems.
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience collaborating with external vendors for third-party data.
  • Knowledge of Agile / software delivery processes

Education

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, business, data science or similar discipline will also be considered.
