A day on the Gary, IN project

Sun-up in Gary, IN: you’re reviewing isometric drawings, confirming materials, and laying out your first runs. By mid-morning, you’re fitting stainless and carbon sections, setting tanks, and tying in steam lines to spec. After lunch, you’re threading, cutting, or welding as needed, collaborating with project managers and other trades to hit milestones. You finish with a safety check and documentation so the plant is ready for the next shift.

We’re a leading general contractor serving the food and beverage manufacturing industry. Our core work includes process piping, equipment installation, and plant maintenance. This is a short-term assignment focused on precise, safe, and efficient installation inside a production environment.

Where and when

• Location (HQ): Bedford Park, IL
• Project Site: Gary, IN
• Project Duration: January – March
• Pay: $25–$60/hour (based on experience)

What you’ll do

• Install and assemble miscellaneous piping systems, tanks, and steam lines to specification.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings.
• Perform cutting, threading, and welding operations as required.
• Meet project requirements while maintaining strict safety standards.
• Coordinate with project managers and other trades to meet deadlines.

What you bring

• Proven pipefitting experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Hands-on skill with stainless steel and other materials common to food & beverage facilities.
• Strong knowledge of piping systems, valves, and fittings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Reliable transportation to the Gary, IN site and a commitment to safety and quality.

Schedule & Compensation

• January through March project timeline.
• Pay range: $25–$60/hour, commensurate with experience.
