We are seeking a skilled Stand Up Forklift Operator to join our team in a food manufacturing warehouse environment. This role involves operating various forklifts such as Crown Stand Up Reach and Reach Trucks, handling materials, and managing inventory in a fast-paced setting. The position requires working in a freezer environment as needed, with responsibilities including shipping, receiving, and cycle counting.

Responsibilities

• Operate Crown Stand Up Reach and Stand Up Forklifts efficiently.
• Handle material using a Reach Truck in a freezer environment.
• Perform shipping and receiving duties, including loading and unloading trucks.
• Manage inventory and perform cycle counting accurately.
• Use RF scanner to maintain inventory records.
• Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ensure compliance with GMP standards while handling food products.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in operating stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
• Experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in a freezer environment.
• Capability to lift 50 pounds.
• Familiarity with RF scanners and material handling equipment.

Work Environment

The work environment is a bustling food manufacturing facility with over 400 employees working across two shifts. The position primarily involves working in a freezer environment, with a 10-minute break every hour to ensure comfort. The facility operates multiple loading docks and engages in various food processing activities. The dress code includes appropriate cold gear provided after the first week of employment. The 2nd shift runs from 4:30 PM to 1:30 AM, with potential for overtime.

This is a Contract position based out of Franklin Park, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
