Senior Accounting Manager - Grants Management

Quatrro Business Support Services is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager - Grants Management in Chicago, IL, for our nonprofit division. The Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the full-cycle accounting functions of a large nonprofit client. If you have a passion for helping nonprofit organizations achieve financial success, are well-versed in grant administration and the management of federal, state, and local grant funding, and excel in building strong client relationships, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days/week on-site with one of our largest clients in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities:

• Serves as the primary contact for multiple, large, complex accounts
• Delivers accurate and timely financial statements, providing coaching and counseling to stakeholders and operations managers
• Owns and manages the clients' monthly financial statements, plans, and schedules. Leads the budget process and incorporates periodic analytics
• Builds and maintains successful relationships with clients and key stakeholders, providing them with world-class customer service and consulting
• Works closely with clients to solve issues related to complicated financial statement situations
• Monitors finances to aid clients functioning within those guidelines and provides financial analysis and advice to clients
• Provides best practices within Quatrro to help the client improve their business execution
• Coordinates with other internal Quatrro teams for consultative support on all financial services
• Accesses and contributes to the organization’s subject matter expertise objectives
• Provides leadership, mentoring, and guidance to cross-functional teams aligned to a particular client delivery process
• Addresses client concerns and issues to ensure they are resolved promptly
• Provides executive-level partnership by presenting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) with division AVP. Participates as requested by the client in executive-level meetings

Qualifications:

Educational Background and Experience:

• 4-year degree in accounting, finance, or business with an accounting/finance focus
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• 1+ years of managerial experience leading a team/direct reports
• Proven experience being client-facing and overseeing multiple client accounts
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and functions
• Skilled in working cross-functionally and collaboratively with multiple teams and clients
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of industry-specific accounting software and advanced Excel skills
• Well-versed in grant administration and the management of federal, state, and local grant funding
• Business acumen and the ability to communicate with key stakeholders and C-level executives
• Growth mindset
• Proven ability to manage a team and delegate responsibilities

Nice to Have :

• CPA/CMA preferred
• Experience in both public and private sectors

The estimated pay range for this position is $90k - $120k/year.
