Manny's Cafeteria & Delicatessen seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead our family-owned restaurant, a beloved establishment that has been serving the community with passion and dedication since 1942. Responsibilities
- Lead daily restaurant operations, including supervising staff, managing shift schedules, and ensuring smooth service flow in both casual dining and quick service environments.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling processes to uphold the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste using POS system.
- Ensure accurate cash handling procedures and reconcile daily financial transactions with attention to detail.
- Train, develop, and mentor staff members on food safety protocols, customer service excellence, and operational procedures.
- Implement effective management strategies for kitchen operations, food production, catering services, bar operations, and banquet functions.
- Maintain compliance with health regulations and food safety standards while fostering a culture of cleanliness and accountability.
- Drive business growth through customer service excellence, community engagement, and maintaining high standards in hospitality management.
Experience
- Proven management experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment with supervisory responsibilities.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary practices, and kitchen management.
- Hands-on experience with POS systems for order processing and sales tracking.
- Strong background in inventory control, budgeting, food safety regulations, and food industry best practices.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in staff training & development, team management, interviewing candidates, and performance evaluations.
- Experience working in casual dining or quick service & fast food restaurants; fine dining or hotel experience is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities including shift management, food handling oversight, catering coordination, and bar operations if applicable. Compensation Details
Compensation: Salary ($65,000.00 - $75,000.00)
