Benefits Analyst

We are looking for a Benefits Analyst who thrives at the intersection of HR technology, finance, and employee experience. In this role, you won't just manage data; you will ensure the integrity of our benefits ecosystem. From reconciling complex provider invoices to solving intricate enrollment puzzles for our employees, your work ensures our team members receive the coverage they count on. We are looking for excel experts. This is a contract position, hybrid in Downers Grove, IL.

salary: $37 - $40 per hour

Responsibilities

1. Data Integrity & Compliance Auditing

• Conduct regular "triple-match" audits between HRIS, Payroll, and Vendor systems to ensure data synchronization.

• Proactively identify and resolve discrepancies in eligibility, coverage tiers, and premium deductions.

• Serve as a safeguard for compliance, ensuring all plan activities align with ERISA, ACA, and COBRA regulations.

2. Advanced Data Analytics

• Act as the team’s Excel power-user, utilizing XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, and Pivot Tables to perform large-scale data reconciliations.

• Build and maintain spreadsheets with conditional formatting and data validation to "catch" errors before they impact payroll.

• Assist leadership with financial modeling for benefits cost projections and annual budgeting cycles.

3. Employee Support & Case Management

• Manage the benefits ticketing queue, providing clear, empathetic, and timely responses to employee inquiries.

• Resolve complex issues regarding billing discrepancies and coverage disputes by liaising with external insurance carriers.

• Analyze ticket trends to identify "pain points" and recommend process improvements to reduce recurring issues.
