Job Description for L3 Network Engineer:

Responsibilities:-

-Support the company’s LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including routers, hubs, switches,AP,WLC

-Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes.

-Handling tickets / requests

- Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes.

-Perform root cause analysis

-Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.

-Defining processes and ensuring that the processes are adhered to

-Oversees and is responsible for successful completion of Installation, configuration and migration

- Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.

-Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA

- Understanding of Multi-geo support environment

-Responsible for building / maintaining a test environment

-Improves and maintains customer and employee satisfaction

-Suggests new technologies and design changes

-Monitoring and maintaining SLA requirements by the team members

-Testing / Auditing/processes as required from time to time

-Identify Skill gaps and plan for training / knowledge updating

Technical Requirements:

Excellent hands-on experience with the following products :

1. Cisco L3 & L2 Switches
2. Experience with C2960, 3560, 3850, C9300, C9200 , C9500
3. Experience with Cisco Nexus 9K/7K/5K/2K Series of switches
4. Understand Meraki Wireless thoroughly.
5. Expert on Routing Protocols BGP,OSPF,Eigrp.
6. Expert on Cisco ASA FW (5505, 5515), FPR all models
7. Understand SDWAN - Silverpeak
8. Expert om Cisco IOS & IOS-XE Software and NX OS Software

Knowledge of Advance switching concept would be advantageous

Wireless LAN technologies – Cisco and Aruba or Extreme.

Excellent hands on in configuring IPSec Tunnels(Site to Site and Remote)

Network Management tools – Solarwinds, HPNNMi or Splunk,Ehealth

Application Load balancers F5 Big IP LTM/GTM or Citrix netscaler

Soft Skills:

- Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written)

- Good documentation skills

- Should have a excelent customer handling skills

- Able to handle high presure situations

- High level of acceptance

- Can drive HCL’s value and its methodology

Other Skills / Experience:

- Experience on SDN AWS or AZURE will be an added advantage

Years of Experience:

Total: -Above 8+ Years of experience

Relevant: -6+ years of hands-on experience and proficiency in managing and maintaining a medium/large environment

Certification requirements:

- CCIE , CCNP, Arurba Wireless
