Hybrid Schedule: Tuesday's in Schaumburg office Objective Of Position The Business Analyst, on our Data & Analytics team, will be responsible for partnering with business units to provide business and data analysis expertise. The role will also be responsible for leading business requirements gathering, analysis, and supporting the technical team during the system development lifecycle. The Business Analyst will work closely with all team members in various departments such as Training, Retail Banking, Commercial Lending, Risk Management, Marketing, Operations, and IT on shared projects and initiatives. Duties And Responsibilities Business and Data Analysis Responsibilities- Collaborate with internal business units to find business opportunities and improve operational process efficiency.
- Deliver effective solutions to business needs.
- Conduct interviews with end users and gather business requirements.
- Convert business requirements into technical specifications for the development team.
- Assist in preparing and conducting formal presentations on the solution, objectives, and scope.
- Analyze internal & external data to identify opportunities for optimization.
- Ensure the developed systems, applications, and reports fulfill the specified business requirements.
- Extract, compile, process, and summarize large volumes of data into usable information.
- Engage end-users during the development process and provide periodic updates about the project progress.
- Work with the technical team in creating user manuals, reference tools, and technical documents.
- Actively participate in user training (both internal and external users).
- Develop and document thorough test plans with comprehensive sets of test cases and expected results.
- Develop test plans & cases in compliance with legal & customer requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure that solutions are developed to meet business needs and requirements.
- Actively engage end-users during UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and get signoffs from users.
- Prepare project plans and clearly articulate roles, project goals, and timeline.
- Manage projects and communicate project progress and delays to the stakeholders.
- Communicate schedule variances and potential scope changes in status reports.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business or related field.
- 5+ years of business analysis experience.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Experience working in financial services / banking industry strongly preferred.
- Excel, Power BI, SQL, and other relevant data analysis tool experience is a plus.
- Experience working with Salesforce, nCino, FIS Insight, or SAP Business Objects is a plus.
- Hands-on experience developing MS-VISIO models & project planning using MS-Project.
- Ability to build professional relationships with all levels.
- Candidate must be able to learn new software packages/technologies.
- Excellent organizational skills, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of design principles, practices, systems development & analysis.
- Must be self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to operate with minimal supervision.
Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office equipment. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices.

This role allows for a combination of remote and in-office work, with occasional visits to the office based on business needs. Specific in-office days may vary and will be discussed during the interview process. Compensation & Benefits Byline Bank offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels. The salary range for this position is between $86,000 to $107,000. In addition, Byline provides benefits including medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, paid time off and much more! Depending on the specific role, compensation may also include discretionary bonuses and other benefit programs. The actual compensation package may vary based on factors such as skill set, experience level, and candidate's location.
