1:1 School RN (Pre-K)

In-Person | Trach & G-Tube Care | School-Based

AB Staffing Solutions is hiring a School Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 medical support for a Pre-K student in a school setting. This is an in-person role focused on ensuring student safety and access to education through skilled nursing care.

• School site in Blue Island, IL.
• May include monitoring during school transportation (bus aide support pending parent meeting).

Schedule & Contract:

• Follows the school district calendar.
• Hours worked only on days the student is present - 20 to 22.5 hours per week.
• Weekly Pay: $1,125 - 1,170.

About the Role:

As a 1:1 School RN, you will:

• Provide direct medical care for a student with a tracheostomy and G-tube.
• Monitor the student throughout the school day and during transportation as required.
• Ensure student safety, health, and comfort at all times.
• Maintain accurate documentation and clear communication with school staff and parents.
• Follow all district protocols and nursing standards.
• Receive additional medical details once parent meetings are finalized.

Requirements:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with School Nurse Endorsement (PEL RN).
• Comfortable providing 1:1 nursing care in a school setting.
• Experienced with trach and G-tube care (school-based experience preferred).
• Reliable, calm, and confident working independently.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
