Civil Engineer: Rockford: IL

Our client is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support a wide range of land development and construction engineering projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to community-focused projects that blend technical precision with creative problem solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and development of residential development and home construction
• Collaborate with municipalities, surveyors, and contractors to ensure compliance with local codes, zoning, and environmental standards
• Develop and review engineering plans, plats, and specifications for accuracy and constructability
• Support project planning, permitting, and site inspections throughout various project phases
• Utilize CAD software to prepare detailed site designs and engineering drawings
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables for multiple projects
• Conduct feasibility studies and contribute to project cost estimates and technical documentation

Skills & Experience :

• Education : Degree in Civil Engineering preferred, but not required with applicable experience
• Experience : 3+ years of experience in construction engineering, land development, or site design, required
• Knowledge: Proficiency coordinating with municipalities, utility companies, and surveyors, required
• Software: CAD experience, required

Pay: $65,000 - $80,000/year, depending on experience + bonus opportunities

Type: Full-time, 1st Shift, On-site

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
