Clarke of Roselle, IL is seeking to hire a Helicopter Support Technician that will be responsible for loading/offloading aircraft, fueling vehicles/helicopter, and traveling to job sites to assist pilot with treatments. The Helicopter Support Technician will be cross-trained to work on other mosquito service crews and will be required to pass a DOT physical as well as successfully complete ATV and Trailer training. WORK SCHEDULE AND SALARY

This position earns a competitive wage of $16/hr. and generally works a flexible daytime schedule Monday-Friday (end times may vary based on business needs). The Helicopter Support Tech works on average 40+ hours per week and supports the summer seasonal operations (generally April - September/October).The work schedule may vary based on business and travel needs.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HELICOPTER SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

As a Helicopter Support Technician, you are supporting the pilot by loading product into the aircraft, and fueling the aircraft and other fleet vehicles. You love your daytime job as you get to be out of an office and working with our Operations Teams during the early morning hours. A map will be given to you by your supervisor for you to utilize as you drive to job sites in a Company vehicle and assist the pilot with treatments. You have excellent attention to detail as you apply treatments accurately, safely, and in a timely manner. Lastly, you document all activity to ensure customer's contracts are completed.

When you are not treating accounts, you are performing inspections and maintenance on your equipment, or helping in other aspects of your field. Your passion for public health, the outdoors, and nature shines through as you complete your work each day.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A HELICOPTER SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Possess a high school degree or equivalent with high school level math skills
• Communicate effectively in English in both written and verbal forms
• Have a valid Driver's License with an excellent driving record
• Be able to sit and drive a vehicle for extensive amounts of time
• Be mechanically inclined and able to lift approximately 50-75 pounds
• Required to pass the Illinois Department of Agriculture General Standards Exam (training provided)
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights and/or weekends
• Cross training and working on other crews will be required
• Capable of using handheld electronic devices
• Candidate must be comfortable performing assigned duties outdoors while walking through various and challenging terrain, including but not limited to water, heavy vegetation and uneven land, throughout residential communities, urban environments and forested areas where environmental conditions are affected by weather
