Job Description

We are seeking a Training Specialist to support safety and learning initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will focus on delivering engaging training sessions, maintaining compliance, and partnering with supervisors to ensure workforce readiness. The ideal candidate is adaptable, tech-savvy, and comfortable presenting to diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training sessions for employees, including safety, compliance, and operational topics.
• Coordinate weekly training schedules with supervisors; conduct make-up sessions as needed (English-only and Spanish-only sessions).
• Utilize Alchemy training software for program delivery; provide alternative solutions if Alchemy experience is lacking.
• Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Travel to train with the Corporate Representative as part of onboarding.
• Support additional HR projects as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 1 year of experience in training, safety, learning & development, or a related field. A teaching profile is also considered.
• Familiarity with Alchemy training platform and experience in food manufacturing (preferred).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable speaking to groups.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate early morning sessions.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive.

Work Environment

This position is located in Chicago, IL, and operates in a plant environment. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with the possibility of starting as early as 5:30 AM for 3rd shift safety training. The role offers a professional, fast-paced environment where ideas and experiences are valued. This is a contract-to-hire role with a clear path to full-time employment after a 90-day probation period.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
