IT WMS Implementation Specialist

Overview

The IT WMS Implementation Specialist will oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementations. This role entails collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and operation of WMS solutions, improving warehouse efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and a strong understanding of warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the implementation of Warehouse Management Systems for clients
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define requirements for WMS projects
• Coordinate with IT teams to ensure successful integration of WMS solutions within existing systems
• Conduct comprehensive training sessions for end-users to optimize system usage
• Oversee testing and validation of WMS configurations before go-live
• Monitor system performance post-implementation and address any issues promptly
• Develop and provide documentation on system processes and user manuals
• Continuously evaluate technological advancements and recommend system enhancements

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in WMS implementation or IT project management
• Proven experience in managing technical projects from conception to execution
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate reports

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with leading WMS platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan Associates
• Certifications in project management (PMP, Agile, etc.)
• Understanding of ERP systems and their integrations with WMS
• Previous experience in a warehouse operations environment
