Medical Assistant - Urology (Urbana)

Overview

The Medical Assistant plays a key role in creating a smooth, supportive care experience - keeping supplies stocked, ensuring patients move efficiently through their visits, and partnering closely with physicians and nurses to deliver exceptional care to patients and their families.


Qualifications

• Certifications
  
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days
  • Must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Education
  
  • High School Diploma or GED (required)

Responsibilities

• Perform routine direct patient‑care tasks to support medical and nursing staff during exams and treatments
• Maintain a safe, clean patient‑care environment and ensure privacy
• Collect and document vital signs for urology patients
• Perform point‑of‑care testing (including urine chemstrips), document results, and communicate findings to the provider
• Collect and properly process patient specimens
• Enter patient medical history and complete medication reconciliation in the medical record
• Perform post‑void residual and uroflow measurements and report results to the provider
• Assist with examinations and serve as a chaperone during pelvic or other exams upon patient request

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $17.12per hour - $27.73per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
