• Location: Ottawa, IL 61350 – Illinois healthcare jobs
• Facility Setting: OBGYN Unit (14 beds, 11 nursery beds)
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• End Date: December 15, 2025
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a), every other weekend required
• Orientation: 12 hours of paid education and unit orientation
• Hourly Pay Rate: $110-$120 per hour
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2470-$2540

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license – Illinois nursing jobs
• Minimum 1 year of recent OBGYN or OB nursing experience
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (AHA)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
• Compliance with drug-free campus policies and ability to pass a drug screen
• Professionalism, adaptability, and strong clinical skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment

OBGYN RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care for patients with preeclampsia, labor management, postpartum care, and newborn care
• Monitor patients on Magnesium and assess fetal well-being using Obix central fetal monitoring
• Assist with labor and delivery, including immediate newborn care
• Document patient care using Epic (Stork) electronic charting system
• Follow AWONN staffing guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
• Participate in 12-hour paid orientation and ongoing unit-specific training
• Maintain professional appearance (scrubs required)
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve high-quality patient outcomes
