Summary
The Air Import Senior Team Lead will oversee and manage a team of air import coordinators and ensure that all air import shipments are handled in compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations. The individual will also be responsible for coordinating with clients, carriers, and customs officials to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise a team of air import coordinators and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Coordinate with clients, carriers, and customs officials to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
- Maintain accurate and complete records of all air import shipments
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws governing air import shipments
- Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, carriers, and other stakeholders
- Provide regular reports on team performance and identify areas for improvement
- Participate in training and development programs to ensure that team members are up-to-date on industry developments and regulatory changes
Educational background / Work experience
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
- 5+ years of experience in air export operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of air export regulations and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong leadership and team management skills

Supervisory Responsibilities (if any)
- Manage and supervise a team of air import coordinators
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in air export operations (e.g., IATA)
- Experience with air import operations in multiple regions (e.g., Asia, Europe, Americas)
- Familiarity with customs regulations and procedures in multiple countries
- Experience with implementing process improvements and driving efficiency gains
Language skills
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
Computer Literacy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with logistics software and systems (e.g., TMS, WMS)

For this position, the expected base pay range is $62,500 to $84,500. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
