Radiologic Technologist Job Details – Peoria, IL

• Location: Peoria, Illinois 61636
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Cardiovascular Invasive Unit
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Radiologic Technologist Contract)
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 6, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $3000 - $3080

Radiologic Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, preferably in cardiovascular invasive or cath lab settings
• Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited Radiology Program
• Active IEMA (Illinois) Radiologic Technologist License
• Current ARRT Registration in Radiology
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Strong knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac anatomy, physiology, and imaging equipment
• Competency in moderate sedation administration and adherence to policy protocols
• Proficient in EKG interpretation and arrhythmia recognition
• Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills

Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists with invasive, diagnostic, and interventional cardiac, vascular, and electrophysiologic procedures
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot electrical and imaging equipment
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data using automated systems
• Advocate for patients and provide education to reduce anxiety during cardiovascular procedures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver optimal patient care
• Maintain aseptic technique and prepare sterile fields for all procedures
• Assist with passing sterile guidewires, catheters, and other cardiovascular devices
• Perform daily equipment safety checks and promptly address malfunctions
• Manage digital archiving systems for secure storage of patient images and reports
• Train and mentor new team members as needed
• Ensure compliance with all hospital safety and procedural protocols
