Responsibilities

• Manage daily fleet operations, including scheduling, routing, and dispatching to maximize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines
• Oversee maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs to ensure all trucks are in top condition and compliant with safety regulations
• Monitor driver performance, conduct regular evaluations, and provide coaching to promote safe driving habits
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation laws and regulations
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, maintenance logs, fuel usage, and driver logs
• Lead safety initiatives by conducting training sessions, safety meetings, and incident investigations
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize logistics processes and improve overall fleet productivity

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing commercial trucking fleets or transportation operations in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Ability to analyze data related to fleet performance and implement improvements
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with drivers, maintenance teams, and management
