About the Role
We are seeking a Change Coordinator to support our Network Core team, focusing on complex and high-impact network changes. This position plays a key role in coordinating, scheduling, and communicating network change activities between engineering, change management, and business partners. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of networking concepts (CCNA or Network+ level knowledge preferred) combined with strong organizational and project coordination skills. This is a hands-on coordination role, ensuring that network changes are planned, approved, and executed smoothly with minimal disruption.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the liaison between network engineers, change management, and business teams to ensure alignment and avoid conflicts.
Support the Network Core team (10–12 engineers) in executing changes involving routing, switching, and other critical network components.
Manage change control processes and documentation in ServiceNow and JIRA.
Facilitate change advisory board (CAB) discussions and ensure compliance with change governance requirements.
Participate in night and weekend change windows (typically 2 weekends per month) and coordinate during off-hours as needed.
Communicate proactively and professionally with stakeholders, including senior leadership, to obtain approvals and provide status updates.
Identify and mitigate potential risks or scheduling conflicts across multiple teams.
Maintain and track change metrics and provide regular reporting to leadership.
Build strong working relationships with engineering, business, and change management teams.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Coordinate and manage network infrastructure changes, including scheduling, documentation, approvals, and communication with stakeholders.
5+ years of experience in IT or networking environments, with exposure to change management
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, traffic flow, etc.).
Experience working in Agile environments and proficiency with JIRA and ServiceNow.
Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills — both written and verbal.
Proven ability to coordinate complex, multi-team efforts under tight timelines.
Ability and willingness to work during overnight and weekend maintenance windows (with flexible weekday scheduling).
Comfortable interacting with stakeholders at various levels, including managers, directors, and VPs.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification (or equivalent level of knowledge).
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise network projects.
- Prior experience working with Change Advisory Boards (CAB) and structured IT change processes.
Work Schedule
- Hybrid: Approximately 2 days per week onsite.
- Change Windows: Typically 2 weekends per month (Friday night–Saturday morning or Saturday night–Sunday morning).
