Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Speech-Language Pathology opportunity available for the 2025-2026 school year in Plainfield, IL, serving a K-12 educational setting. This contract position requires a commitment of 24 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 1:45 PM, working with students from Pre-K through 8th grade who have mild to moderate disabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services tailored to mild to moderate disability needs.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Conduct assessments, document progress, and communicate effectively with families and school personnel.
- Maintain compliance with district and state regulations regarding special education services.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Illinois license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- For SLPs, possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois schools through ISBE is required.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred for SLPs.
- Experience serving school-age children with mild to moderate disabilities is an asset.
