IT Product Manager
Kforce has a client in Chicago, IL that is seeking an experienced IT Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of mobile and supply chain technology initiatives. This role will own the vision for a mobile iOS product as well as contribute to broader operational and supply chain digital transformation efforts. The ideal candidate blends customer empathy, strong technical acumen, and structured product discipline to deliver solutions that drive measurable operational impact. Responsibilities:
- Own the roadmap, backlog, and execution for an iOS mobile application
- Define MVP scope, manage phased releases, and work within App Store constraints
- Ensure delivery is timely, high-quality, and aligned with user and business needs
- Translate user needs and business goals into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Use analytics, feedback loops, and success metrics to inform prioritization and iteration
- Collaborate with engineering (mobile & backend), design, operations partners, and other stakeholders
- Manage tradeoffs, proactively communicate risks, and ensure alignment across teams
- Maintain and refine the product backlog for a customer-facing companion application
- Balance immediate operational value with long-term scalability and future phases
- Track and report product success metrics such as response times, adoption, and workflow efficiency
- Develop the long-term product strategy and roadmap for supply chain digital initiatives
- Build an end-to-end understanding of the current ecosystem and identify transformation opportunities
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with business, UX, operations, IT, and leadership
- Own the full product lifecycle-from vision and requirements to launch, sustainment, and adoption
- Deliver consistent release cadences and facilitate effective readiness and communication plans
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related field (MS/MBA preferred)
- 7-10+ years in product management with a record of delivering customer-centered products
- 5+ years in supply chain, inventory management, or industrial distribution
- Experience managing and developing product teams
- Experience collaborating with technical teams on complex workflows
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in enterprise or operational environments
- Proven history of owning products from inception through launch and driving business outcomes
- Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong strategic thinking, change leadership, and presenter skills
- Data-driven mindset with comfort using metrics to support decisions
- Thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced conditions with a bias for action
- Ability to define MVPs, especially for event-driven or real-time systems
- Ability to operate effectively in dynamic, matrixed environments
- Preferred: experience with mobile apps or workforce/operational tools
