**Work hours are 2:30pm - 11:30pm CT with overtime and weekends as needed**


Summary/Objective:

The Operator I, Mail Finishing – 2nd Shift is responsible for individual activities related to cutting and folding direct mail pieces. Joining within and complying with all Bolingbrook operational processes and procedures.

Essential Functions:
  • Operating and setting up Tecnau & Hunkeler finishing lines.
  • Operating and setting up traditional cutters and folders in bindery.
  • Enter data into ERP monitoring overall performance, efficiency, and quality.
  • Perform equipment start-up, shut-down and preventive maintenance.
  • Sample and monitor product quality coming off the system, making modifications as needed.
  • Troubleshoot finishing line performance and quality problems, correcting them and stabilizing performance as they occur.
  • Replenish materials ongoing as materials are depleted.
  • Maintains production, efficiency and quality records related to the finishing / bindery operation.
  • Supports the manufacture of personal products through a continuous production operation, requiring an understanding of work methods and procedures as well as various binding machines.
  • Work is typically routine, although some discretion may be allowed. Applies limited knowledge and expertise applicable to specialty for the implementation of predominantly short-term tasks and projects for business needs.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Effective process management skills.
  • Mechanical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to document regular activities and e-mail correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to multi-task.
  • Aptitude for accuracy and a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Work independently.

Supervisory Responsibilities : Not responsible for supervising other employees.

Work Environment : Indoor, temperature controlled, production facility.
Physical Demands :

  • Must be able to be able to stand on feet for at least 8 hours/day

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Personal Protection Equipment (PPE): Certain PPE may be required while performing specific job functions.

Security Clearance : Amsive is a Federal Contractor, and this position may require government security clearance for certain projects.
