We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and support in a Family Medicine care setting. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, as well as the ability to perform clinical tasks efficiently while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform intake assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting patient histories.
- Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate patient information.
- Conduct basic life support (BLS) as needed and respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
- Provide medical administrative support, including managing patient flow and reviewing charts for past records.
- Perform lab draws and administer vaccines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
- Experience in a healthcare setting required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy/physiology is essential.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems for efficient documentation.
- Ability to perform intake procedures effectively while providing excellent patient service.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on patient care and comfort.
