Psychotherapy Fellowship
Who We Are
Dynamic Psychotherapy PLLC is a Chicago-based private therapy practice. We offer individual and couples counseling, both in-person and via telehealth. Our mission is to provide collaborative and humanistic treatment with our clients, offering support while engaging their capacity to make difficult decisions and find contentment.
The Career Therapist Fellowship
The Career Therapist Fellowship is a newly created program for early career LPCs seeking advanced clinical training and education at the post-graduate level while carrying a clinical caseload. This program is well-suited for candidates who are interested in investing time and energy into professional development, beyond what would happen as a typical staff therapist. Fellows may elect for either part-time (10-23 sessions per week) or full-time (24+ sessions per week) pathways. All fellows are expected to attend group supervision twice per month, individual supervision twice per month, and to complete assigned educational tasks (readings, podcasts, experiential activities, etc) outside of sessions. Fellows may choose to be fully remote or hybrid with up to 2 days per week in office.
The primary goal of the Career Therapist Fellowship is to prepare fellows for a career in private practice by emphasizing three core competencies:
- Expanding clinical skills and knowledge across a broad range of presenting concerns commonly encountered in private practice
- Developing individual areas of clinical expertise and provider identity
- Mentoring the administrative and business skills necessary for running a private practice
While fellows will be welcome to continue on with Dynamic Psychotherapy PLLC after receiving their LCPCs, the goal of this fellowship is that they will have developed the necessary skillset to open their own practice should they wish to do so. In order to ensure sufficient time to cultivate these skills, candidates who are close to obtaining their LCPCs will not be considered.
