Mergers & Acquisitions / Private Equity Associate Attorney – Chicago

Direct Counsel is seeking a Corporate Associate to join a highly respected Am Law firm in its Chicago office. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level associate to join a leading private equity practice and work on sophisticated acquisition and disposition transactions for top-tier sponsor clients.

The ideal candidate will have 2–6 years of experience representing private equity sponsors in complex M&A transactions, including the acquisition and sale of portfolio companies. Candidates should be comfortable working on high-value, fast-paced transactions and collaborating closely with clients and deal teams.

Qualified candidates will possess:

• 2–6 years of corporate M&A and private equity experience at a leading law firm
• Experience representing private equity sponsors in acquisitions and dispositions of portfolio companies
• Strong transactional drafting, negotiation, and deal management skills
• Excellent academic credentials
• Prior large law firm (Am Law) experience preferred
