Human Resources Business Partner
Human Resources Business Partner Responsibilities:
- Oversee HR support for a client group of 400+ employees, including exempt, non-exempt, hourly, and salaried populations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on organizational design, talent strategy, succession planning, and workforce effectiveness.
- Partner with operations and functional leaders to align HR initiatives with business priorities and manufacturing objectives.
- Analyze workforce trends, turnover, engagement, and talent metrics to recommend solutions and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead talent review, succession planning, performance management, and leadership development initiatives.
- Identify skill gaps and partner with leaders to implement training and development programs.
- Support internal mobility and career pathing strategies to retain and grow top talent.
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters including investigations, conflict resolution, corrective actions, and performance coaching.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, with deep expertise in California labor laws , wage and hour regulations, leave laws, and workplace policies.
- Mitigate organizational risk through sound judgment and proactive employee relations practices.
- Lead engagement strategies that strengthen employee experience, inclusion, retention, and morale.
- Partner with leaders to build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and recognition.
- Support change management and communication strategies during organizational changes.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, and Learning teams to deliver integrated HR solutions.
- Support workforce planning in a manufacturing environment including shift-based populations and labor needs.
Human Resources Business Partner Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years as an HR Business Partner supporting senior leaders.
- Experience supporting a population of at least 400 employees in a multi-state capacity required.
- Deep knowledge of California employment law and HR compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated success driving strategic HR initiatives across talent, engagement, development, and organizational effectiveness.
- Strong employee relations background with experience conducting investigations and resolving complex workplace issues.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems such as Dayforce preferred.
