Senior Technical Strategist - Cloud, DC, Network & Security Solutions

Location: Hybrid Remote - Chicago

Compensation: $150k - $200k + Full Benefits

A rapidly growing National IT Solutions Provider is seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Senior Technology Leader for the Chicago market who brings proven experience across pre-sales, post-sales delivery, and leadership. This firm delivers cutting edge solutions in Cybersecurity, Cloud, Infrastructure, Networking, Data Center Modernization and more. They are partnered with some of the leading names in tech to include AWS, Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet and more.

This is a career defining opportunity for a technology leader from an MSP or VAR environment who can bridge deep technical expertise with client-facing leadership. The right person will be equally comfortable guiding complex customer solutions, influencing technology adoption, and mentoring technical teams.

What You’ll Do

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, driving long-term strategy and roadmaps for cloud, networking, data center, and security.
• Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies and help clients adopt innovative solutions with measurable business impact.
• Step in as the final point of escalation for critical technical challenges, ensuring resolution and client satisfaction.
• Partner with sales and solutions architects to shape solutions, validate managed services offerings, and strengthen client proposals.
• Lead strategic client reviews, identifying areas for improvement and future growth opportunities.
• Support key business functions, including contract renewals, onboarding transitions, and service delivery enhancements.
• Stay close to the technology while offering mentorship and guidance to engineers and architects across the team.

• MSP/VAR background with experience across pre-sales, post-sales, and technical leadership.
• Proven hands-on technical expertise in hybrid cloud, networking, security, and infrastructure.
• Ability to balance client-facing responsibilities with internal leadership and mentorship.
• Strong communication, executive presence, and relationship-building skills.
• Adaptability to thrive in a fast-changing technology environment.
