Overview:

We are looking for a Prep Cook to join our team. In this role, you will assist with preparing meal ingredients, simple dishes, condiments, and other items as directed by senior culinary staff, while also ensuring all dishes, utensils and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential to supporting our culinary team and providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently and consistently
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in dishwashing areas, kitchen stations, and storage spaces
• Operate dishwashing machines and ensure they are stocked with proper chemicals
• Assist with removal of trash and recycling, ensuring proper waste disposal procedures are followed
• Keep kitchen floors, drains, and workstations clean and free of hazards
• Ensure all kitchen tools and equipment are properly stored and ready for use
• Work collaboratively with the BOH team to keep service running smoothly
• Follow health department sanitation requirements and adhere to safety guidelines
• Assist with basic prep work and food handling as needed
• Execute tasks assigned by Chefs and Kitchen Leadership with professionalism and enthusiasm

Experience:

• Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with culinary practices and food handling procedures is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks as needed.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
