Respiratory Therapist RRT - Part Time - Nights
Hourly Pay Range: $33.16 - $49.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position Highlights:
- Position : Respiratory Therapist - RRT
- Location : Highland Park Hospital - Highland Park, IL
- Part Time | 20 hours/week
- Hours : 8 or 12 hour shifts available from 7:00pm to 7:30am and 11:00pm -7:30am with every other weekend rotation and holidays required
What you will do:
- Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians according hospital policy and procedures
- Assess patients to determine most suitable method of administering treatment
- Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities and transcribe verbal or phone order by physicians
- Communicate to patient and family the treatment being performed in a clear manner
- Monitor patient physiological response to therapy with special attention to the pediatric and neonatal patients
- Provide patient and staff education
What will you need:
- License: Licensed by the State of Illinois as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, required
- Education: Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of respiratory therapy, required
- Certification: CPR (BLS) issued by American Heart Association, required
- Experience: 6 months experience in a health care setting preferred ; 1 year of adult critical care experience, neonatal or adult, preferred
