What You Will Do
- We are seeking a director that will help grow and expand the Performing Arts Program in visual and performing arts for area youth.
- The program benefits local (Greater Metro East) youth (ages 7-17) by providing a safe, supportive environment for young people to develop confidence and teamwork through education in the performing arts, via afterschool programming during the school year, a 6-week summer camp, and a performance group that participates in community events.
- The director manages the program and supervises the program staff, oversees the budget (in collaboration with an accounting associate), seeks a sustainable funding model (manages grants in collaboration with the Office of Research and Projects, coordinates fundraising efforts in collaboration with the SIUE Foundation, seeks additional funding sources in coordination with the SIUE Foundation), oversees the program's administrative processes, and builds relationships with internal and external community partners.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Arts Management/Arts Administration, Education, Management, Public Administration, or related field. OR In lieu of degree, demonstrated, related management and administration experience of 5 years or greater will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field
- Supervisory experience
- Experience as a music, dance or other arts instructor/administrator
- Experience writing and managing grants
