Service Manager / Restaurant Manager Roka Akor Chicago | Upscale Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi

Roka Akor Chicago is seeking a passionate, hands-on Service Manager to join our leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who thrives on the dining room floor, leads by example, and takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

We're looking for someone who is equally comfortable coaching a service team, managing beverage operations, and handling the administrative responsibilities that keep a high-volume restaurant running smoothly.

• Lead nightly front-of-house operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience.

• Coach, develop, and hold service staff accountable to Roka Akor standards.

• Create and manage weekly FOH schedules.

• Manage beverage inventory, ordering, receiving, and cost controls.

• Assist with weekly beverage inventory and financial accountability.

• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.

• Work closely with the Executive Chef and management team to ensure seamless service.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and professionalism.

• Resolve guest concerns with confidence and professionalism.

• 2+ years of management experience in an upscale or fine dining restaurant.

• Strong wine, spirits, sake, and cocktail knowledge.

• Experience with beverage inventory, ordering, and cost control.

• Experience creating staff schedules and managing labor.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Experience with Toast POS, OpenTable, Craftable, or similar restaurant systems is preferred.

• Sushi or Japanese cuisine experience is a strong plus but not required.
