The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Planning & Development team located in Wheaton, IL. This position provides the opportunity to contribute to the larger mission through applying civil engineering practices to the planning, design and construction of the district's public works engineering projects.Compensation Salary $90,334.00 to $101,712.00 per year, depending on experience. This role involves preparing engineering plans, design, calculations, research and permits necessary for implementation of capital improvement projects. The role will assist in the evaluation and inspection of the work of contractors to ensure compliance and will require wearing various PPE including safety boots, glasses and vests.
