In this role you will be responsible for ensuring a high-quality dining experience by greeting residents and guests, overseeing service staff and interacting with residents and guests while maintaining a safe and sanitary dining environment.
Job DescriptionPosition Summary: This position is responsible for greeting and seating residents and guests in a timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction. This position reports to the Dining Services Manager and/or other staff person assigned by the Director of Dining Services.
Essential Functions:
- Seat and greet residents with a friendly and welcoming attitude in a timely manner in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards.
- Assist wait staff and bussers in serving, bussing and resetting tables. •
- Report any resident concerns to the Dining Services Manger immediately. •
- Complete all side work as assigned. •
- Attend all training in-service seminars and pre-shift meetings. •
- Assist in special events. •
- Perform all duties in adherence to Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards. •
- Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices. •
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and coworkers. • Adhere to all policies and procedures of Senior Lifestyle Corporation. •
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:
- Level of Formal Education: Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Area of Study: General/Managerial/Food Service
- Years of Experience: General/Managerial/Food Service
- Type of Experience: Previous food service experience.
- Special Certifications: Obtain/hold any local, state and/or county required food handling/sanitation licenses and/or certificates.
- Language Skills: Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations. Technical Competencies: Entry-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, and Word
- Skills and Ability: • Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. • Ability to handle multiple projects.
