An international freight forwarding company in the northwest suburbs Chicago is looking for an Entry Writer candidate to support their operations. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience with import operations for international freight forwarding companies.

Customs Entry Writer Responsibilities Include:

• Input and transmit data for the CBP release of shipments from documents.
• Verify arrival information with Airlines / NVOCC's / Steamship Lines, etc.
• Report the completion of entry tasks release of cargo and exceptions to established clearance requirements
• Prepare and send delivery orders to trucker
• Issue invoices to a customer or overseas offices and other accounting processes as requested
• Confirm to customers the release details

Customs Entry Writer Requirements:

• 3 - 4 years’ experience in air/ocean import operations required.
• Experience as an Entry Writer is preferred.
• Must have basic PC skills (Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Be able to work effectively and efficiently in a multi-cultural team environment
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal in English
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and perform regular physical activity
• This position will not support visa sponsorships
