Lab Technician – Wet Chemistry (1st Shift)
Location: Chicago, IL
Pay: $23–$27/hour
Shift: 1st Shift (Monday–Friday)
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician with hands-on experience in wet chemistry to join our Bath Department. This role supports daily laboratory operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring product quality, consistency, and compliance with internal and external standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine wet chemistry testing and analytical procedures on production bath samples.
Maintain accurate documentation of test results, observations, and corrective actions.
Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and samples as needed.
Calibrate, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
Partner with production teams to monitor bath performance and recommend adjustments when necessary.
Follow all safety protocols, SOPs, and quality standards in accordance with manufacturing and laboratory guidelines.
Assist with maintaining inventory of lab supplies and ensuring a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications
1+ year of laboratory experience, preferably in manufacturing , chemical processing, plating, or related industries.
Working knowledge of wet chemistry techniques (titrations, pH testing, solution prep, etc.).
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise procedures.
Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical coursework or an associate degree in Chemistry or a related field is a plus.
