Java Backend Developer - INTL India

Job Description

One of our large retail companies is seeking a Java Backend Developer to join a leading healthcare organization going through a modernization of multiple programs. This developer will play a key role in developing backend microservices to modernize on of their largest retail applications. Responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot

• Build and integrate APIs (both GraphQL and REST) for scalable service communication

• Deploy and manage services on Google Cloud Platform (GKE)

• Work with Google Cloud Spanner (Postgres dialect) and pub/sub tools like Kafka

• Automate CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Argo CD

Working with security vulnerabilities. Someone who can resolve those vulnerabilities. They are looking for a senior person due to the need to identify and resolve vulnerabilities. This team manages 600-800 repositories.

Skills and Requirements

-Senior Level 5+ years of backend development experience with Java and Springboot- 100% backend. They use Java 17 and 21

-Kafka- as long as they have some knowledge of Kafka topics and how partitions are done.

-Caching-

-DB -Postgres and Cassandra - knowledge

-They use GCP for Cloud - they are open to any sort of cloud exposure. (AWS, Azure)- Kubernetes -AI/ML - if someone has it and is interested, they can move into it.

-Hazelcast and redis - caching technology that they use
