Grain Terminal Operations Specialist

Where: Rochelle, IL
Pay: $18–$23/hour
Role overviewKeep grain moving, safe, and accounted for. As a key operator at a grain terminal, you’ll ensure smooth receiving, storage, quality control, and loadout—while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-documented operation.
What you’ll tackle- Receive, load, unload, transfer, and store grain efficiently
- Run conveyors, legs, and grain dryers to manage product flow
- Measure bin levels; monitor grain condition and report issues
- Perform housekeeping of bins, storage areas, and facility grounds
- Conduct basic maintenance and preventative repairs
- Adhere to OSHA and all site safety procedures
- Complete all required documentation and logs accurately
- Grain elevator experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Mechanical aptitude; electrical or hydraulic exposure a plus
- Equipment familiarity (forklift, skid loader, etc.) preferred
- Comfort working at heights up to 200 ft
- Ability to work in heat, cold, dusty conditions, and confined spaces
- Physical capacity to lift, climb, bend, and shovel
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as business requires
- Agricultural experience preferred
