Position Overview:

The Billing Specialist is responsible for managing a high-volume billing process within a custom order environment. This role works closely with Customer Service, Sales, Accounts Payable, and Credit teams to ensure accurate invoice processing, cost reconciliation, and timely customer billing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process customer invoices accurately and efficiently based on approved orders and vendor documentation
• Review and reconcile invoices to ensure proper cost allocation and accurate cost of goods sold
• Collaborate with Customer Service and Sales teams to verify order details, freight charges, and billing information
• Process and reconcile vendor statements as part of the billing workflow
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, including pricing variances, quantity differences, and purchase order issues
• Partner with internal Credit and Collections teams to facilitate resolution of customer-facing billing concerns
• Track and reconcile cash receipts and other billing-related transactions
• Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the billing cycle

Systems & Tools

• ERP system experience required
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including spreadsheet reconciliation and data tracking
• Experience maintaining billing records and supporting financial reporting processes

Qualifications:

• Previous billing or invoicing required
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to identify discrepancies and follow through to resolution
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
