Warehouse Lead - EP
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious Lead Warehouse Person to manage our daily warehouse operations. This is a vital, hands-on role for a proactive individual who can work effectively and autonomously to ensure smooth workflows and inventory accuracy. While initially a standalone position, the successful candidate will play a key role in building and eventually managing a warehouse team as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily warehouse activities, including receiving, processing, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products.
- Operate a forklift and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (forklift experience is required).
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular cycle counts and physical inventory counts using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or similar software.
- Identify products quickly and accurately to ensure proper storage and order fulfillment.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment by establishing and enforcing safety standards and procedures, in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and workflows to enhance productivity and minimize errors.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and smooth operations.
- Assist in the future recruitment, training, and supervision of new warehouse associates, providing guidance and coaching to foster a high-performance culture.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- 1-5 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proven experience operating a forklift and other warehouse machinery.
- Strong ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, smart decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work, particularly inventory management.
- Strong safety motivation and adherence to all health and safety procedures.
- Quick learner who can easily adapt to new processes and product lines.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory tracking systems/software (WMS, Excel, etc.).
- Physical ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs frequently, and stand/walk for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift certification.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with Lean principles or other continuous improvement methodologies.
