Sales manager
Our well-established precision metal stamping and manufacturing company is seeking a Sales Manager in the Greater Chicago Area to drive strategic growth and lead new business development efforts. Serving the automotive, industrial, appliance, and agricultural sectors, our company offers advanced capabilities in high-tonnage stamping, robotic welding, full assembly, and lean manufacturing. This is a high-impact, individual contributor role with a strong emphasis on business development. The ideal candidate is a proactive, results-oriented sales professional with deep experience in metal stamping sales, who thrives in technical B2B environments and is eager to help rebuild and scale a growth-focused operation.

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience in metal stamping.
- Demonstrated success in new business development with complex manufacturing customers.
- Strong understanding of stamping, welding, tooling, and value-added assembly processes.
- Familiarity with quality and environmental certifications: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949.
- Proven ability to navigate long sales cycles, manage customer relationships, and negotiate contracts.
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and quality teams.
- Highly motivated, collaborative, and adaptable — cultural fit is key.
- Must be based in or able to commute to the Greater Chicago Area (no relocation or sponsorship available).
Key Responsibilities:
- Aggressively pursue and secure new business opportunities, particularly within the automotive and adjacent markets.
- Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans that support the company’s growth objectives.
- Manage a mix of direct sales activity and coordination with independent sales representatives.
- Lead marketing initiatives including trade shows, promotional campaigns, and digital content.
- Deliver accurate sales forecasts and participate in strategic business planning.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and quality teams to align customer needs with manufacturing capabilities.
- Maintain strong internal relationships and contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture.
- Support and uphold all safety protocols and operational standards
